Fashion Squared: Currys is giving away free straps with the new Huawei Watch Fit 3

Must read

If you’ve been holding out for a new smartwatch, then now might just be the time to upgrade – because the Huawei Watch Fit 3 is here and Currys is giving away a free strap with every order.

Featuring a 1.82in AMOLED touchscreen display, plus a side button and rotating digital crown, Huawei’s latest smartwatch has an all-new square case design and revamped HarmonyOS user interface to match.

Priced from £139.99 and compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 is filled with health- and fitness-tracking features to help you reach your goals. It can track over 100 different sports, with padel and football among the latest additions, and there’s also Huawei’s latest TruSleep 4.0 function to ensure you’re getting enough quality sleep each night.

The free strap offer is available exclusively through Currys. All you have to do is order the new Huawei Watch Fit 3, and you can add a second strap for no additional cost.

The square, aluminium case of the new Huawei Watch Fit 3 is just 9.9 mm thick, ensuring a comfortable fit on any wrist.

It’s also water resistant to 5ATM, so is safe to shower and swim with, and Huawei claims a massive 10 days of battery life from its latest smartwatch, or up to seven days with what it describes as typical use. The battery is topped-up again with the included magnetic, wireless charger that snaps onto the back of the watch, and Huawei says a whole day of power can be added in as little as 10 minutes.

A personal trainer on your wrist

The Watch Fit 3’s heart rate monitor works with Huawei’s latest TruSeen 5.5 heart monitoring function, which uses a self-learning algorithm to optimise its monitoring capabilities. It also features the new Pulse Wave Arrhythmia Analysis function, which is designed to help identify an irregular heartbeat.

Then there’s the Huawei Health App. This is packed with over 660 workout courses, including exclusive fat-burning and body sculpting sessions designed to help you sweat it out and achieve your fitness goals. With the Watch Fit 3, Huawei says it has comprehensively upgraded its sports features, and these are based around the three key areas of Eat, Move and Fitness.

The system acts as a personal trainer on your wrist and features an updated global database of dietary information across 50 countries; search for the food product you’ve eaten, then add its calorific information to keep the Huawei Watch Fit 3 updated with your diet and exercise regime. The watch then encourages you to exercise and, using the Smart Suggestion system, will suggest types of exercise to help meet your daily activity or fat loss targets, while also accounting for your habits and even the local weather conditions. And the best bit is, this is all included with no ongoing subscription required.

Thanks to a new calendar view, the watch can be used to show previous, current and upcoming menstrual cycle information, and there’s a new Symptom Recording feature that lets wearers record their menstrual data.

Finally, the new Huawei Watch Fit 3 has a new user interface that echoes the square hardware. Huawei has given its smartwatch operating system a full design revamp, with rich colour schemes and a magazine-style aesthetic with enlarged fonts.

The new Huawei Watch Fit 3 is available now, priced from £139.99, and if you order from Currys you’ll receive an additional strap at no extra cost.
