She’s A Saint
Another horse that looks capable of making all over hurdles, She’s A Saint, for trainer Dan Skelton, under jockey Harry Skelton.
The seven-year-old mare has strong form going into this, dropping in grade as well as dropping in the weights as she’s been off the track since March 2023.
But she can go well fresh and the Skelton team are doing so well this year it wouldn’t be a surprise to see her rally home.
She was just under five lengths off of Apple Away last time out in listed company and also second to You Wear It Well in the Grade 2 mares hurdle at Sandown in February 2023, she’s still young for a hurdler and could be a big value winner for the day.
Madame Ambassador
A lovely chestnut mare trained by Charlie Johnston in the Arc-winning silks of owner Miss K Rausing.
She returned from her winter break earlier this month but could only manage fifth in the listed fillies stakes at Goodwood behind Gather Ye Rosebuds.
But she placed well considering and behind some decent rivals like Sea Of Roses.
She remains the same weight and might have more to offer for her second run of the season.
She’s one of just three five-year-olds in this race and may be tough to beat for a yard who hasn’t quite got the expected wins on the board yet.
Age Of Gold
Promising and extremely well bred Frankel colt trained by the in-form Charlie Appleby who is operating at a 35% strike rate going into this meeting.
William Buick is on board of course, and this three-year-old related to Dark Angel and Frankel has a lot to like on debut for the powerhouse yard.
