Amanda Holden looked stunning in a little black dress she wore during a round of Britain’s Got Talent auditions. The strapless mini dress is from designer Alexander McQueen, but we’ve found some alternatives from high-street shops and online brands so that you can recreate Amanda’s classy look for less.
The dress the presenter and BGT judge wore has a strapless neckline with a plunging V-cut, a cinched waist design and faux pocket flaps. Amanda’s stylist shared a carousel of photos on Instagram of her wearing the dress, which was paired with black tights, heels and an elegant bow in her hair.

ASOS is selling a mini black dress that is also figure-hugging and has a plunging neckline. Unlike Amanda’s dress, it has ruched detailing which is ideal if you prefer a textured material. The Missyempire Bandeau Mini Dress is available in sizes 4 to 18 and is currently on sale for just £19, down from £25.
River Island’s Black Frill Bandeau Bodycon Mini Dress gives the wearer the same hourglass figure as Amanda’s dress, but has frill detailing across the neckline, offering an added element. It has the same overall classy look of the Alexander McQueen dress, but is a lot cheaper, costing just £40. It’s available in sizes 6 to 18.
If you’re looking for a little black dress that isn’t strapless, New Look has a couple of options.
