The time is now. Master Chief, the legendary protagonist of the Halo franchise, has been in cryostasis for almost 1,000 days, and he was last seen on June 3, 2022. That was, until a Christmas miracle on December 23, 2024.

How to Get Master Chief in Fortnite
1,500 V-Bucks
As of December 23, 7 PM ET, players can head to the Fortnite Item Shop to find and purchase Master Chief from his tab section. Master Chief on his own will cost players 1,500 V-Bucks, and not only will they receive the iconic character as a skin, complete with his armor from Halo Infinite, but they will also obtain the Battle Legend Back Bling for free. While Master Chief hasn’t been updated to include a LEGO Style, players can grab an assortment of other Halo-related goodies from the Master Chief Bundle, or as separate purchases:

How to Get the Matte Black Master Chief in Fortnite
Unfortunately, players who are just now purchasing Master Chief will be unable to grab the Matte Black style. The Matte Black style has been confirmed as an exclusive reward for players who purchased Master Chief before December 2024.
Previously, to obtain the Matte Black Master Chief variant style in Fortnite, players must have opened the Fortnite application on an Xbox Series X|S console, or through the Xbox Cloud Gaming service. Doing so with a registered Fortnite account would have automatically grant players access to the Matte Black selectable style once they purchase, or have purchased Master Chief in Fortnite.
