Head of mortgages at Lloyds, Amanda Bryden, said: “London’s dominance in the list of priciest streets underscores the city’s continued appeal and the resulting competitiveness at the very top end of the property market.
“However, at £21.4million to buy a home, even those with the deepest pockets might baulk at the price. The cost of securing a prestigious address does vary across the country.
“For instance, living on the most expensive street in Wales means paying around £1.3million, although still a significant amount.”
The report was based on transactions across the UK between September 2019 to August 2024.
The report discovered the average house price in August 2024 is £356,925 across the UK

Through evidence collected from the Land Registry and the Royal Mail, the data in the report is compiled from over 1.8 million UK postcodes.
It discovered that the average house price in August 2024 is £356,925 across the UK.
This means it is 60 times more expensive to buy a property on the most expensive street in the UK than an average house.
A property expert shared some changes people can make when wanting to enhance their property’s price tag.
Terry Fisher from We Buy Any Home said: “Simple updates like repainting cabinets, changing handles, or adding a stylish backsplash can refresh the space without the hefty price tag.
“Re-grouting tiles, installing a new shower head, or replacing old faucets are cost-effective fixes.”
