With dozens of Christmas light trails and amazing festive sights to look out for this Christmas, it is enough to bring a smile to even the most Grinch-worthy individual.
From light-up vans to Instagram-worthy light trails, the festive season is more magical than ever.
Here are just some of the many Christmas delights that are all within driving distance to anywhere in Berkshire.
Christmas light van
An Amazon delivery driver has transformed his van into a dazzling spectacle of 6,000 lights.
Scott Dickens, a 32-year-old Woodley resident, spent around 10 hours alongside his partner – Kate Clarke -adorning his camper van with the twinkling display.
The festive makeover, which cost £210, involved seven power inverters connected to the van’s battery.
The van is also adorned with a seven-foot dinosaur on the roof, secured with ropes, and a bubble machine that gives the illusion of snow coming off the vehicle is soon to join the dazzling light display.
Spencers Wood, Three Mile Cross and Shinfield lights trail
A Christmas charity lights trail is set to illuminate streets across Spencers Wood, Three Mile Cross, and Shinfield.
The event, which aims to bring festive cheer to the community, will run from 5pm to 9pm each night from December 13 to December 30.
The organisers have urged residents to take part in the “festive fun” by walking the trail and admiring the decorated houses.
They have said that “no decor is too big or too small”.
Maps showing the locations of the decorated houses can be collected from One Stop in Spencers Wood, Budgens in Three Mile Cross, and Crumbs in Shinfield.
Christmas lights spectacular at Phillips Close
A dad-of-three has spent over two and a half years creating a Christmas light show with over 3,000 LED pixel bulbs.
Jason Blackaller, 33, from Phillips Close in Wokingham, has put hundreds of hours of work into designing the light show, which features synchronised lights and music at his family home.
Each 40-minute show includes 13 different Christmas songs, giving viewers a full interactive experience.
Kingfisher Chase light trail
Kingfisher Chase, a close-knit community in Bracknell, has easily become the most Instagrammable streets in East Berkshire.
It first started during Covid when Ed Wilson and a variety of other homeowners wanted to do something to lift everyone’s spirits.
Throughout the years, residents on the adjacent street – Dipper Lea – have joined in on the fun making it a spectacular Christmas lights trail.
Although only starting out as a few lights, it is clear how well the neighbours have worked together to create a cohesive display.
The sense of community across Kingfisher Chase and Dipper Lea shines through for all to see.
