Fearne Cotton has given a positive update after undergoing surgery to remove two benign tumours.

Just three weeks ago, Fearne, 43, had the operation on her jaw and already she’s seeing improvement.

The TV presenter took to Instagram, and revealed the healing process so far.

After witnessing the quick changes, a grateful Fearne called the human body ‘incredible’ and said you can now ‘barely notice’ what she’s been through.

‘I feel almost normal. My ear is still quite numb and my face a little tender but other than that I’m feeling good,’ she continued.

She then shared four photos, which depicted the gradual improvement. The oldest picture showed what looks like a wire in her neck, and the most recent snap showed a barely-visible scar by her ear.

In less than three weeks you can barely notice where I had the tumour removed. I feel almost normal. My ear is still quite numb and my face a little tender but other than that I'm feeling good. Only swipe if you want to see the gradual stages of healing. It's not massively gruesome but it certainly looks worse than photo number 1. I found the whole process fascinating and feel very grateful that the operation went well and that the tumour was benign. My surgeon Professor Oflynn made me feel extremely calm and all the nurses were complete angels. Nurse Jackie was especially amazing whilst I was in hospital telling me to get off my phone and nap etc. I needed a firm telling off at times. Feeling grateful that I'm healing well and will always wear this scar with pride. A reminder to slow down and look after myself. 2h

She wanted to particularly thank a nurse called Jackie for being ‘especially amazing’. Jackie told off Fearne for being on her phone, and instructed her to nap: ‘I needed a firm telling off at times. 🤣’

Fearne summarised: ‘Feeling grateful that I’m healing well and will always wear this scar with pride. A reminder to slow down and look after myself.’

Earlier this month, the Happy Place podcast host shared that she’d be ‘out of action’ for surgery. Further clarifying her health issues, she wrote on Instagram stories: ‘I felt a lump under my ear on my jawline a while ago now but this year noticed it was growing.

‘Turns out it’s a benign tumour and another small one above it on the saliva gland.’ Benign means that the cells are abnormal but not cancerous. However, they are usually removed to prevent them from becoming larger and causing problems such as pain and other medical complications.

Days later, she told her 3.9 million followers: ‘Operation went really well. Recovering and resting. Thanks so much for all the kind messages.’

On December 13, Fearne then confirmed the shocking news ‘with a heavy heart’ that she’d split from her husband of 10 years Jesse Wood.

The former couple are now focused on their children – Rex, 11, and Honey, nine.

Jesse, who is the son of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, has older children, Arthur, 21, and Lola, 18, from his marriage to first wife Tilly.

The former Top Of The Pops presenter and Jesse, 48, met while Fearne was on a girls’ holiday to Ibiza in 2011 and a friend introduced them while they were at a restaurant.

Fearne is finding joy in hanging out with friends, and posted snaps from her night out with Elizabeth Day and Jamie Laing.
