A CORRIE legend has made a very rare Instagram appearance while reuniting with his former co-stars, and fans are making the same demand.
Coronation Street legend Chris Gascoyne, who played Peter Barlow in the hit soap, reunited with Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor this week.
Chris’ character of Peter departed the soap on Boxing Day last year in emotional scenes when he struggled with guilt over his involvement in the death of serial killer Stephen Reid
And now Chris has posed for a snap with Jane and Georgia, who play Leanne and Toyah Battersby, after his performance at the Bradford Alhambra Theatre in the pantomime, Pinocchio, as the evil Stromboli.
Standing in the middle of Jane and Georgia, Chris could be seen beaming as he reunited with his former Corrie co-stars a year after his departure.
Jane could be seen smiling wide while donning some glasses, while Chris beamed also wearing glasses, and Georgia smiled beside her two pals.
The trio all looked happy to be in each other’s company again.
Georiga shared the snap on her Instagram page and penned an accompanying caption which read: “Watching our beloved PB giving his best baddie in Pinocchio.
“Eyeliner and black nail varnish never looked so good on a guy.”
Fellow Corrie star Sally Carmen, who plays Abi Webster in the hit soap, simply penned: “Joyous!”
A fan of the soap then wrote: “The first boyfriend you shared, then Imran the second, and Nick the third lol. Will Leanne fall for Spider someday?”
FANS BEG FOR CHRIS TO RETURN
While a third person said: “Oooh Peter Barlow. Missing my eye candy on corrie.”
“Wonderful to see actors supporting actors,” swooned a fourth.
A fifth person then demanded: “I love this, get Chris back on Corrie.”
“I really miss his character in Corrie, I hope you return at some point,” echoed a sixth.
While a seventh said: “I miss Peter In Corrie need him back.”
And an eighth person wrote: “Can’t wait for his return to Corrie as Peter. ..that will be fun!! Watch out Swain.”

Talking to BBC News at the time of his departure from the cobbles, Chris said: “The thing that upset me though was walking away from the people I work with and I don’t just mean the actors.
“I’ve known all these people for nearly half my life. I’ve grown up with so many people there but I need a rest and to look to do something different, I’m not getting any younger.”
He then added: “Of course, I’ve not ruled a return out, it’s been such a part of my life.”
