EAMONN Holmes shared a heartbreaking post about his first Christmas since separating from his wife Ruth Langsford.
The TV presenter put a picture up on Instagram of his late mum Josie who died in November 2022, aged 93.
A reflective Eamonn wrote alongside it: “When folk ask me ‘What do you want for Christmas?’ Three Christmases without you now Mum and you are still top of my wish list.”
In response, Eamonn – who split with Ruth in May this year – received an outpouring of love and support from fans.
One said: “Thinking of you. Losing someone is hardest this time of year.”
Another added: “This is my first without my mum and my granny (who died within 10 hours of each other in April. Very hard Christmas.”

Someone else agreed, saying: “That’s the top of my list too…my Mum. It’s so very hard!
“I’m sure she’ll be looking on down on you.”
Earlier this week, Loose Women host Ruth revealed her mum suffered a nasty fall and ended up in hospital.
Ruth has since shared an update on the 93-year-old, writing: “Hospital visit… thank you all so much for your lovely messages and well wishes for my darling Mum.
“She’ll be in hospital for a bit longer yet, but she’s in pretty good spirits considering and I hope she’ll be home for Christmas.”
It prompted her ex Eamonn to make social media contact with Ruth for the first time since their marriage split after 14 years.
The poignant picture was commented on by hoards of celebrity friends and fans – and was also ‘liked’ by Eamonn.
GB News presenter Eamonn is also struggling with the sudden departure of his Breakfast Show co-host Isabel Webster.
Her replacement was revealed last night – but her reason for leaving was left unexplained.
From 2025, Ellie Costello will co-host GBN Breakfast five days a week, presenting alongside Eamonn on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Former Sky News presenter Stephen Dixon will anchor on Thursday and Friday alongside Ellie.
