Prepare to see one actress and model as you’ve never seen her before, as she’s transformed into Sir Elton John for a festive video.
But can you suss out who it is?
To celebrate Christmas and Sir Elton’s timeless tune, Step Into Christmas, a runway star got involved in a reimagining of behind the scenes of the original version, which was released more than 50 years ago.
It’s only Cara Delevingne, who is certainly no stranger to a bold look thanks to the countless photoshoots she’s done over the years.
The 32-year-old model well and truly looks the part, as she sports an identical-looking suit and glasses as worn by Sir Elton.
Her long locks have been covered by a ginger wig, and she oozes pizazz while effortlessly strumming on the guitar.
On its initial release in November 1973, Step Into Christmas reached number 24 in the UK top 40 and the top of the Billboard Christmas Singles chart.
Cara, who is a close friend of Sir Elton’s, said of the project: ‘Elton has always been an idol of mine; to say his music has had a deeply profound effect on me is an understatement.
‘To be asked by him to play him in this recreation was a dream that I didn’t know I had until it happened.
‘Honestly I wish I could pretend to be Elton every day.’
On whether the roles might reverse in the future, she added jokingly: ‘I hope that Elton may one day return the favour and agree to play me in my not yet developed, written, pitched, or funded biopic. Fingers crossed.’
The new video sees a production team readying the set for the star’s arrival as they try to ensure it is ‘Christmassy enough’.
Sir Elton said heaped praise on Cara as he spoke about her incredible transformation.
‘I saw Cara at Glastonbury last summer, and we talked about how much we’d love to work together if the right idea came up.
‘She’s hilarious to spend time with, we both have quite a self-deprecating sense of humour.
‘When someone suggested the idea of her playing me in a riff on the 1973 Step Into Christmas video, I just thought it was the perfect opportunity.’
‘Thank God Cara thought the same, because it came out great,’ he declared.
Cara’s drag transformation comes after she reflected on her fame earlier this year, admitting it’s now ‘easier’ to navigate now she’s no longer the ‘new hot young thing’.
Speaking to The Guardian in May, Cara said it’s ‘a lot easier’ to ‘just walk down the street, no problem’ these days, having been catapulted to stardom in the 2010s.
Meanwhile, Sir Elton has also been reflecting on his life and legacy recently, following the news that he lost sight in his right eye over summer due to an infection.
He has also shared that he now struggles to work because vision in his left eye is ‘not the greatest’ either.
Reflecting on his life in his upcoming documentary, Elton John: Never Too Late, the award-winning star voiced his sadness that he would ‘not be around’ to see his sons get married.
The Your Song hitmaker shares sons Zachary, 13, and Elijah, 11, with husband David Furnish, 62, whom he married in 2014.
He did, however, have some touching words when asked what he wants to be imprinted on his gravestone.
‘On my gravestone, all I want it to say is, “He was a great dad”,’ he told People.
Sir Elton’s new documentary titled Elton John: Never Too Late was released on Disney+ on December 13, and last month he released the Late, Never Too Late which he co-wrote with US singer and Grammy-winner Brandi Carlile.
