Fortnite’s final update of the year has big Christmas updates for players, but that means server maintenance – here’s what’s going on with the game’s servers, and when you can play
Fortnite Chapter 6 is underway, but the last update of the year means Christmas fun.
Not only is update 33.11 giving the island map a snowy makeover, but the game is adding fresh skins that include a crossover with Pixar’s Cars franchise, new DC skins, and much, much more.
Before we get to it, though, there’s the small matter of some server maintenance to get through.
Is Fortnite down?
As pointed out on X, formerly Twitter, Fortnite has gone down.
It’s not live right now, meaning you won’t be able to play until Update 33.11 rolls out. We’ll update this page when the game is back.
Fortnite Update 33.11 early patch notes
On the plus side, the 33.11 patch is packed with Christmas goodies.
Winterfest is back from December 20 to January 7, with a series of Christmas tweaks to the island and a Festive Snoop Dogg skin to earn.
Epic is also introducing a Skibidi Toilet bundle if that’s of interest to you. It’ll set you back 2,200 V-Bucks, while Pixar’s Cars are expected to make their Fortnite debut. Rumours have also suggested we could get a Cyberpunk crossover.
