Victoria Beckham addressed the rumor that she’s had plastic surgery on her nose — and explained why she thinks people believe she’s gotten work done.
Beckham credited “clever” contouring, which she went viral for in a video, as the reason that her nose might appear different to spectators, while appearing on TODAY in a Dec. 16 segment.
“I like to draw,” she said, referring to her makeup process. “I have to say, there’s been a lot of people in the past that have said to me that I’ve had some kind of surgery on my nose. I have never, ever, ever, ever … No, never. It’s clever contouring.”
It’s not the first time the fashion designer and singer has shut down plastic surgery rumors. While filming a YouTube video with makeup mogul Charlotte Tilbury in 2022, she said she’s “always had a nose like this.”
“People have also said that I’ve had a nose job,” Beckham said in the video. “Never had a nose job. Always had a nose like this. It is the nose trick.”
Tilbury and Beckham then demonstrated the trick in the video, using highlighter to draw an exclamation point on her nose.
“It just gives you a button nose, which you’ve got a gorgeous little button nose,” Tilbury said to Beckham.
The former member of the Spice Girls has since delved into the world of makeup herself when she launched her own beauty brand, Victoria Beckham Beauty, in 2019.
Beckham admitted that she still does her own makeup the majority of the time.
“I am makeup obsessed. And for me, I think what I’m most known for … I call it my signature eye,” she said on TODAY, explaining the products she uses to get her classic look.
“I really enjoy creating these little videos that I do on Instagram … makeup is about having fun as well,” she added.
Beckham also addressed another viral moment from last year, this time involving her husband, soccer star David Beckham.
A moment from the former soccer pro’s Netflix documentary “Beckham” turned into a meme in 2023 when he called out his wife’s childhood upbringing.
Beckham was explaining in an interview for the series that her family was working class, when her husband walked into the room and said, “Be honest.”
“I am being honest,” she responded.
“What car did your dad drive you to school in?” he shot back.
After he repeated the question a few times, Beckham responded “It’s not a simple answer” and “It depends.”
“OK, in the ’80s my dad had a Rolls-Royce,” she said.
“Thank you,” he said, exiting the room.
The exchange exploded into a meme, and she said on TODAY that some of her children thought the moment was rehearsed.
“Do you know even a couple of the kids actually thought that we rehearsed ‘My dad drove a Rolls-Royce’ and the dancing in the tent,” she said.
The businesswoman shared she’s filming her own documentary, and gave a glimpse at what fans can expect.
“David’s documentary was such a huge success, and I was so proud to be part of it,” she said. “But my documentary is very, very different.”
She added: “It really is me rolling my sleeves up, working in both fashion and beauty.”
