Josie Gibson storms out of studio live on air amid Christmas prank

Must read

Josie Gibson stormed out of the Capital Breakfast studio live on air amid a Christmas prank.

While being interviewed by Jordan North, Sian Welby and Chris Stark on Monday’s (December 16) show, the This Morning presenter was given a Christmas pudding costume as a present.

Jordan, who wasn’t in on the prank, excitedly joked: “I think you should wear my present on Christmas Day.”

Josie quickly turned to a crew member and expressed her disapproval, saying: “Tom, I told you I didn’t want to talk about this. I’ve told you, like we know each other, and I’ve told you I didn’t want to talk about it.”

“I thought it would be funny because of the Christmas pudding story,” Tom replied.

Becoming visibly upset, Josie continued: “You thought it would be funny? I nearly died. Like I told you, this is not even funny. Can we drop this bit?”

A concerned Jordan quickly began to apologise, before Josie explained that the situation was “bad” and stormed out of the studio, with Sian running after her.

“Go south Jordan North!” Josie shouted from off camera, as Jordan said: “Oh my god, I am so sorry. What the hell? Oh my god.”

A confused Jordan and Chris were shortly put out of their misery when Josie and Sian walked back into the room, announcing: “Only kidding!”

“I would have thought I’d be going to Hollywood after that, that was really good!” Josie joked. “I did not even realise I was that good, I should be in EastEnders!”

Jordan shared that he was “sweating” profusely, adding: “At first, I thought she was joking and then everyone was… Oh my god! Josie don’t ever do that to me again, I’m actually dripping with sweat!”

Josie then clarified that she didn’t have a near-death experience with a Christmas pudding – she’d made the whole thing up.

“Hahahah brilliant,” one person wrote, while another added: “Awwwwwwwww my little heart can’t take it for him lol.”

“Josie deserves an Oscar,” a third fan said, while a fourth similarly commented: “Oh Jordan, bless you! Your little face! Great acting though Josie,” alongside a group of laughing emojis.

This Morning airs Mondays through Fridays on ITV1 and ITVX.
