Intel has officially launched the Limited Edition of the Arc B580 GPU for retail stores, but due to the high demand, it’s hard to secure one.
Retailers quickly ran out of the Intel Arc B580 Limited Edition GPU as soon as it is listed, will be restocked in early January 2025
Yesterday, Intel launched its first Battlemage GPU based on the Xe2 architecture for retail launch. The Arc B580 is not only out for sale, but we have already published its review in case you missed it. That said, the Limited Edition is the only card you can get today as the AIB editions will launch tomorrow.
We found Newegg to be one of the first retailers to list the Intel Arc B580 12 GB card for $249.99. This is the official MSRP of the Limited Edition but the AIB editions will go for higher. The Limited Edition brings 12 GB of GDDR6 VRAM on a 192-bit bus and 20 Xe2 cores. The GPU core clock goes up to 2670 MHz but with overclocking it can reach higher. Equipped with a single 8-pin power connector, the GPU consumes up to 190W while the AIB editions can exceed the 200W mark.
Right now, the GPU seems to be out of stock since it is in high demand. Being one of the best budget GPUs, it was expected that it would be the only edition that is available today. However, you won’t be getting it in a few days, at least on Newegg. The retailer will restock the card on 3rd January 2025, which is around three weeks from now.
The same is the case at Amazon, which is listing several GUNNIR-branded cards with availability planned for early January, while B&H and LDLC are only receiving pre-orders for the cards.
Another reason for its high demand is that it’s a Limited Edition that won’t be manufactured again once Intel discontinues it. However, the AIB editions will keep hitting the shelves after they are discontinued. The Intel Arc B580 has shown some impressive numbers in video games, particularly at 1440p, where it outperforms the RTX 4060 and RX 7600 at a much bigger margin than at 1080p.
Being the only 12GB card for $249 from the latest generation, the Arc B580 looks like a solid competitor to the older Gen cards with a similar amount of VRAM. While there are still some driver issues, there don’t seem to be major ones at the moment. Users, who are looking forward to even cheaper alternatives, can wait for the Arc B570 scheduled to launch on 16th December, which is just a few days from now.
