Dougie makes a call to Danny, 38, shortly after his win and tells him: “Dude, you did amazing, I was so proud.”

Overwhelmed by speaking with Dougie, an emotional Danny says: “I love you so much man.”

Fellow I’m a Celeb winner Dougie asks: “Are you still crying?”

And Danny responds: “I’ve been a mess all day, I can’t quite take it all in.”

Danny later reunites with all of his campmates and wastes no time in raising a toast to them.

He says: “I want to raise a toast, we had the lowest of lows and the highest of highs but we went through it together.

“You’re great people, I couldn’t have wished for a better camp.

“You listened and you asked questions and I just feel like a new human being. Cheers everyone, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!”

Danny previously revealed how revealed how show bosses smuggled him out to see his family in the jungle, with blackout windows and a towel over his head.

Recalling the moment he was reunited with wife Georgia and son Cooper, he told Alex Jones and fellow McFly star Harry Judd: “I hadn’t seen them and had been in a lockdown before with no phone and that.

“So it had been pretty much a month since I’d seen them or had any contact and the crew were amazing.

“It’s a really big bit of land you’re on so when you do a trial or anything like that, you get in a van and it’s blacked out and you have a towel over your head.”
