Five holidaymakers departing from England made a flight to Spain‘s Tenerife a nightmare for their fellow Ryanair passengers, it has been reported.
Three males and two female passengers aboard the FR4346 flight on May 16 reportedly engaged in inappropriate and disruptive behaviour during the Ryanair trip from Liverpool to Tenerife South Airport.
The passengers were not travelling together but were sitting close to each other on the plane, and they reportedly became a nuisance to other people on the plane and the cabin crew.
The male passengers allegedly started creating issues shortly after the plane took off, at 4.05pm, by opening a bottle of duty-free alcohol and drinking straight from it, according to eyewitness reports published by Canarian Weekly.
This rowdy performance prompted the cabin crew to approach the passengers, but the warning issued to them didn’t have any effect.
Rather, after the male travellers were approached by cabin crew, the two female passengers sitting on the row behind them reportedly started partaking in their behaviour, with the report alleging they shared the drink and were rude to people asking them to mind their language and sit down.
The situation was allegedly addressed by the pilot, telling the unruly passengers through the tannoy they risked grounding the flight in Lisbon, Portugal, and getting evicted from the plane.
The warning seemingly managed to lower the volume of the group, but not long after other passengers reportedly started to notice one of the women had sat with two of the rowdy male travellers, leaving the remaining two together.Â
The report claimed the passengers were engaging in inappropriate sexual behaviour, despite the presence of children on the plane, and were urged to stop by other people on the aircraft.
The intoxicated group, however, reportedly replied to these pleas with a stream of abuse directed at both fellow passengers and cabin crew.
Upon landing on the Canary island, members of the Spanish police called by the captain of the Ryanair flight met the passengers as they were still in their seats.
The report claimed police took the five passengers’ passports to allow the pilot to log their details and prevent them from travelling back to England on a Ryanair flight.
The group were then taken away by police officers for questioning, it has been claimed.
