Jack Whitehall and Roxy Horner are engaged, it has been reported.
The comedian, 36, and the model, 33, welcomed their first child together in September – a daughter called Elsie – and now it looks as though they are set to tie the knot.
Fans noticed a huge rock on Roxy’s wedding finger in photos of her and the Travels With My Father star enjoying a day out with little Elsie.
Now, a source has revealed Jack popped the question earlier this month.
‘Jack and Roxy are going into Christmas as an engaged couple,’ a friend told The Sun.
‘He asked Roxy to marry him earlier this month and she said yes straight away.
‘They could not be happier together and are looking forward to planning their wedding.’
The family enjoyed exploring Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park together when a big teardrop shaped engagement ring was spotted on Roxy’s finger.
She wore a leopard print fluffy coat and pale jeans – matching the feline outfit with Elsie’s onesie – while Jack sported a moustache, black jeans and a green coat.
Jack and Roxy met in Australia and went on a first date together which didn’t go to plan when the comedian booked a joint entirely decorated with taxidermy ducks. As a vegan, Roxy wasn’t impressed.
But despite the flight risk, the couple carried on seeing each other and moved in together during the pandemic in 2020, when they became an official couple.
Roxy stayed with Jack at his Notting Hill house, and they got to know each other well very quickly.
‘Weirdly that was quite nice because we spent a lot of time together and it accelerates the relationship in a way,” Jack told The Mirror.
‘Then when lockdown ended, there was a lot of things we realised. We’d never gone to see a film together. We’d never been to a restaurant in England because we met in Australia.’
When the pair welcomed Elsie, Jack showered Roxy with love on social media, writing: ‘Well this just happened! Utterly overwhelming and joyous in ways I couldn’t have even imagined.
‘In awe of my partner @roxyhorner who has been amazing throughout this journey and is going to be the greatest mum ever.’
He continued: ‘So excited to have started a family of my own. Having vowed I’d never be that guy I am now 100% going to be the parent that shows everyone endless pictures of their kid. I also wore sketchers to hospital, I think I must accept I am a full-blown dad now.’
Jack previously shared that the couple had lost a baby before welcoming Elsie.
‘I don’t want to give you the Instagram-filtered version of my life. We actually lost a baby first, we suffered a miscarriage which is a horrible thing for anyone to go through,’ he shared during a special standup gig titled Settle Down in January which took place at London’s O2 and was recorded for Netflix.
‘I mention it because it’s this weird grief that is shrouded in secrecy. I didn’t talk about it for ages and as soon as I was comfortable sharing it with friends and family, and realising that other people had similar experiences it was a huge comfort to me.’
Jack then shared his admiration for Roxy, who he called ‘strong’ and ‘resilient’.
‘It completely recalibrated my mindset. I went from being scared, bewildered and ambivalent about the idea of having a kid to suddenly wanting to be a dad more than anything else in the world,’ he concluded
