Villages north of Dereham including Beetley, Gressenhall, Bawdesley and Swanton Morley, were hit with a power cut affecting 367 properties.
UK Power Networks became aware of the issue, caused by “a high voltage overhead electricity line fault”, at 1.40pm on Saturday, December 7, and engineers investigated the outage.

To the south west of Dereham, a power outage impacted 1132 properties in villages which included Saham Toney, Shipdham and Holme Hale.
UK Power Networks became aware of the issue at 2.20pm with engineers discovering a section of overhead cables had come down in the storm. The cables had to be re-erected.
A yellow weather warning for strong winds is currently in force until 6pm today, as Storm Darragh batters the county with gale-force gusts of up to 60mph.
