Samsung is determined to bring significant changes this year and keeps rolling out updates for its hardware and software. It has not been long since Android 15 was launched on Google Pixel devices, and now the company is taking another significant step by releasing One UI 7 beta for the S24 series and bringing it to the Galaxy devices. The beta is said to be packed with major upgrades, new capabilities, and updates to the security features. While the roll-out would be available for those part of the beta program, the full release would follow sometime later.

Samsung launched One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy S24 series, and it is said to be a rather big update

Samsung has officially launched the One UI 7 beta based on Android 15 for the Galaxy S24 series. The latest OS version made its debut back in September, however the update did see a delay accounting to the significant overhaul it is meant to offer.

The One UI 7 is said to be a feature-rich update, and if we see the design element, it has been completely revamped, and every aspect, including the widgets, has been altered. The notification tray and Quick Settings layout have been changed as both are now separated, and users who prefer the unified look can continue with the previous interface as well. Samsung has also hinted at bold choices being made for the system icons, and even the lock screen would come with the option to tweak it.

One of the most hyped features in the update is the “Now Bar,” which displays the relevant activities in the notifications so users can check them out at a glance. What this means is that users would be able to get real-time information on their activities, such as workouts, and it is said to mirror Apple’s Dynamic Island, which also focuses on providing contextual information. However, there is still ambiguity regarding integration with third-party apps.

Samsung is also bringing some AI-driven features, such as “writing assist” AI tools, to enhance productivity. These tools allow you to summarize or even check for spelling in your write-up. The call transcripts feature gives a review of conversations when the recording is activated for the Phone app.

Additionally, the camera app is undergoing some noteworthy changes that make the update huge in terms of its offerings. The One UI 7 beta is available for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. The regions in which the beta will be available initially are the US, UK, Korea, India, Poland, and Germany. The full release is expected to come out early in 2025.
