David Beckham‘s new Christmas advert with Ninja has been criticised by fans after they spotted a ‘dangerous’ mistake. Viewers who watched the 30-second commercial have slammed Ninja as the ex-footballer appears to ‘risk his life.’

In the advert, David gets into the festive spirit by cooking a turkey using a wood-fired oven designed for outdoor use. However during the ad – the appliance looked as though it was used indoors.

The £350 electric machine – which cannot be used inside – sparked widespread uproar as fans reported the advert. One user on YouTube said that they reported it to the Advertising Standards Authority.

According to The Sun, a Ninja spokesperson said: “David Beckham was cooking in an outdoor kitchen during the filming of this advert, in compliance with the Woodfire Outdoor Oven’s usage instructions.

“The advert was cleared by Clearcast before airing.”

According to a user manual created by Ninja, it says: “DO NOT use indoors. If used under overhead cover, toxic fumes, including carbon monoxide, may accumulate and cause serious bodily injury or death.”

The former Manchester United player recently signed a whopping £1 million deal with Ninja in order to be the face of their 2024 festive campaign.

Express Online have contacted David Beckham’s representatives for comment.

On top of this, David has also been enlisted by Nespresso for their 2024 Christmas advert.

The commercial shows David’s sentimental side as a family man, along with a subtle nod to his football career. The 49-year old slips into wellies where he dresses a snowman into a goalkeeper.

David then places a Nespresso capsule pod on the snowman’s face as his nose. However, he then takes it back after realising he’s out of coffee pods after scoring a goal.
