Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 will debut at CES 2025, says graphics card maker

A representative from graphics card manufacturer Inno3D appears to have accidentally let slip when the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 is coming out, and it looks as though we won’t have long to wait.

With CES 2025 around the corner, what’s expected to be the best graphics card in the new Nvidia lineup, is expected to launch in January. However, while being interviewed on a Brazillian livestream, an Inno3D staffer might have just let the cat out of the bag and revealed the RTX 5090 launch date.

The stream, hosted by Brazillian PC content creator, Pichau, was running into its ninth hour. Inno3D’s representative briefly took the hot seat and read out one of the questions asking when the RTX 5090 would be available.

According to a viewer, via VideoCardz, she answered that it would be available “in just three weeks”. Of course, a huge reaction from the audience and hosts caused her to course-correct herself immediately. She pointed toward CES 2025 for more news, but did say, “Officially, the 5090 will only be announced at CES 2025 in January.”

If the RTX 5090 launched in three weeks, that would position it around the holidays, instead of CES. This year, the show is being held from January 7 through 11, with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang delivering a keynote during the show.

The representative might have been talking about the pre-launch models that Inno3D will presumably receive. Nvidia’s RTX 5000 series will be the first consumer Blackwell-powered GPUs, with expectations for both the RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 to be announced at CES too. While the 5090 will be the flagship, its leaked eye-watering price of nearly $2,000 will rule it out for gamers who don’t have enormous amounts of money to spend.

The lower tier card, the RTX 5070, is also rumored to be joined by an RTX 5070 Ti model out the gate, as with the 40-series. However, the RTX 4070 Ti was effectively a rebranded RTX 4080 12GB model.

While graphics cards will be on the table at CES 2025, AMD is also rumored to be launching the new Ryzen 9 9950X3D.
