Ruth Langsford has broken her silence about a potential return to This Morning, proclaiming that one could “never say never.”
The presenter, who currently serves as a panellist on Loose Women, has had multiple stints on This Morning since 1999, though she hasn’t made an appearance on the show since 2022.
It was revealed on Wednesday (November 27) that Martin Frizell, the long-running editor, would be departing from his role after a decade in the role, prompting speculation that a revamp of presenters could be on the way.

Speaking at Brisbane airport ahead of an appearance on I’m a Celebrity: Unpacked, Langsford showed support for Loose Women co-stars Jane Moore and GK Barry, and also shared that she wasn’t aware of any prospective changes for the show following Frizell’s departure, which will occur next year.
“I don’t know [about any changes]. I haven’t been on it for two years,” said Langsford. When asked about a possible return, the star, who has also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, simply replied: “never say never.”
Frizell, who had been in his role since 2014, released a statement to confirm his departure from the show, saying: “Next year I’m expecting my family priorities to change so I need to free up time for them.

“I love my team at ITV and will miss them and the thrill of live telly but it’s an always on, 24 hours a day, seven days a week commitment and I won’t be able to do both. It’s been a privilege to lead truly great presenters and producers.
“Between us we’ve turned out more than 6,000 hours of live topical telly – that’s around 20,000 items and, whilst the gongs are always nice, I’m most proud of the change we made to so many lives… This juggernaut is the toughest test for any broadcast journalist.”
