Fortnite Remix: The Finale is the culmination of the game’s current season with a royal knees-up featuring a quartet of hip-hop superstars.
Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice and the late Juice Wrld will bring the jams as part of an in-game concert that “connects dreamscapes from all four artists”, according to Epic Games.
Here’s how to tune in to the live event and what to expect from the game’s new season.
How to watch Fortnite Remix: The Finale
Fortnite Remix: The Finale commences at 7pm (9am ET) on Saturday November 30.
Rapper Juice Wrld’s posthumous song, Empty Out Your Pockets, will be played at the event
Epic Games
Epic is advising players to jump into the game before the start time to avoid lengthy queues.
What to expect from the live event?
Attenders will get to hear a brand new track from Juice Wrld, titled Empty Out Your Pockets. The song is featured on the emo rapper’s third and final posthumous album, The Party Never Ends, released on Friday November 29.
Considering the cerebral concept of the event, we wouldn’t be surprised if we also heard Juice Wrld’s Diamond-certified banger, Lucid Dreams.
Ice Spice, who has been giving grief to some players in the game, will also appear the Remix Finale concert
Epic Games
The hip-hop icon, who died of an accidental overdose in 2019 at the age of 21, is currently appearing as a Mufasa-style apparition in Fortnite. Epic is also offering a free Juice Wrld Slayer outfit bundle to players who log into the game until November 30.
As for the other artists appearing at the virtual concert, Snoop Dogg is set to debut a new collaboration with Sting called Another Part of Me. And, we’ll probably get a cavalcade of hits from Eminem and Ice Spice to boot.
When does Chapter 6 start?
A new dawn begins in Fortnite the day after the Remix Finale as Chapter 6 gets underway on Sunday December 1.
As with past updates, the game should go offline for several hours on Sunday morning as Epic integrates the new content.
How long will Fortnite be down for? The duration can vary depending on the size of an update, with new seasons taking longer to go live than regular patches.
If all goes smoothly, Fortnite could be down for between five and seven hours. Let’s just hope the game isn’t unplayable for 24 hours like it was during the launch of the Chapter 5, Season 2 update.
What’s in the Fortnite Chapter 6 Battle Pass?
Following a leak, Epic was forced to reveal the theme of its upcoming season. Chapter 6, Season 1: Hunters, as it’s officially known, is an ode to Japanese culture that will usher in a new battle pass complete with new skins.
Based on its leaked artwork, which was later confirmed by Epic, the season will feature Godzilla, Disney’s Baymax from Big Hero 6 and a new take on the original character Hope.
Players are already joking about Godzilla rocking a gun in Fortnite, so you can expect that skin to be popular. If it does wind up as an outfit in the battle pass, we’d expect the radioactive kaiju to be smaller in stature than its silver screen counterpart (though, maybe it will come with a special weapon or item that can inflate it to a monstrous size).
As usual, the map will undergo significant changes as part of the new season. According to leaked teasers shared by Japanese fan accounts, the Fortnite Island will be transformed into a mythological habitat infested with demons. Players will be able to defeat these fiends by wielding katanas and donning ability-enhancing masks.
How much does the Fortnite Battle Pass cost?
When does Fortnite OG start?
Just five days after Chapter 6 debuts, Fortnite OG could steal the spotlight. On Friday December 6, players will be able to drop into the new mode, a faithful recreation of Fortnite Chapter 1 from 2017, featuring the classic map that started it all.
Unlike typical seasonal content, Fortnite OG is here to stay as a permanent mode with its own dedicated battle pass.
