It appeared that they were starting to build bridges after a series of rocky trials.
But I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! fans have been quick to note that host Ant McPartlin still ‘hates’ star Dean McCullough, as he delivered another brutal snub following his fifth Bushtucker Trial.
Dean, 32, was once again chosen to take on the latest trial during Monday’s show, but in a surprise twist, conquered his fears to earn a respectable 10 stars for camp.
Ant was quick to share his pride for Dean for completing the trial, saying: ‘You even got a round of applause from us today.’
Dean added: ‘Next thing you’ll be following me on Instagram,’ but Ant was quick to add: ‘No, no, no, that’s not going to happen.’
Fans were quick to note Ant’s cutthroat response, declaring that he and co-host Declan Donnelly were ‘wearing their hatred for Dean their sleeves.’

Despite praising Dean for earning 10 stars in the latest trial, Ant quipped that he wouldn’t be following the DJ on Instagram
And while the pal running Dean’s Instagram has followed Ant and Dec, they are yet to return the favour.
Posts on X included: ‘Ant and Dec are so done with Dean, they’re practically wearing their hatred on their sleeves now! It’s so obvious, they’re not even trying to hide it anymore!
‘Ant when he found out he didn’t have to go into camp and speak to Dean again;
‘Whoever put 50p in Ant and Dec this year, blessings are coming your way, I hope your pillow is always cold; Ant and Dec are genuinely fed up with him;
‘Ant hates that Dean and I’ve got a lot of time for the fact he’s not hiding it;
‘Nah Ant really hates Dean. Couldn’t even pretend he’d add him on Instagram;’
It comes after viewers accused Dean of ‘faking being scared’ after he managed to bag a whopping ten stars during his latest BushTucker Trial.
Dean climbed the beanstalk to collected 12 numbered stars, and was forced to put his hand in various hell holes containing the likes of green ants and cockroaches.

But despite his impressive result viewers were left fuming and claimed Dean had been ‘faking being scared’ in a bit to gain ‘more airtime’.
Taking to X they wrote: ‘I’m actually getting sick of Dean. He seems very fake and acts up to the cameras’: ‘I’m really over Dean’s fake over reactions during trials’: ‘Dean forgot to scream for the first 9 stars beats his personal best then starts crying he can’t do it, so tomorrow he can get 11 and make out he’s improving each day, the guys too obvious’
‘Shock horror he wanted 10 stars and then couldn’t do anymore. Proves he’s a fake all along!!!!’: ‘I just find Dean so performative and fake. Making sure he gets himself enough screen time to further his career’: ‘Maybe Dean has realised he’s hated for all the fake acting in his trials – that or he’s just tired from the climbing and cba to do the acting’.
On Sunday, after it was revealed the public had chosen for Dean to complete the trail yet again, the Geordie duo begged viewers to stop voting for him.
Appeared on I’m A Celebrity Unpacked, they made a desperate plea and urged viewers to start voting for other celebrities, fuming ‘we aren’t getting to know the others!’
Ant said: ‘Right, let’s all [viewers] have a serious talk, I’m going to look directly down the camera here. I think it’s good to see other faces down there.’
He insisted: ‘This is not a personal thing. It’s not about Dean, it’s about us just seeing different people down there and I think we’d want to see different people down there being featured.

‘Some people, unfortunately aren’t getting [airtime]. I’d like to see Barry [McGuigan] do a trial, I’d like to see Melvin [Odoom] down there, Oti [Mabuse]!
‘This happens every year when someone gets voted multiple times, you just get to a point where you go “Who’s still voting for Dean?” I don’t get it.’
Dec added: ‘My thing is, I think we all know he’s going to react and how he’s going to do. I would like to see some other people.’
Ant previously said that he ‘wasn’t angry, just disappointed’ with Dean, in a stern chat on Friday, as he returned to the Bushtucker Trial clearing with Danny Jones.
‘Dean, welcome once again,’ Ant quipped, ‘fourth day in a row, two out of the last three you shouted ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’
He went on to joke: ‘I’m not angry anymore Dean, I’m just disappointed,’ to which the radio star replied: ‘Awk Ant!’
Turning to Danny, he gushed: ‘Danny, welcome! You on the other hand, your part of the Trial when you did one on the first day, you got all of your stars.
‘So is this a dream team now – Dean is that what it is?’
Laughing, Dean replied: ‘Yeah because he’s gonna win all of the stars and I’m gonna stand and watch.’
However, Dean and Danny went on to shock everyone by turning things around and bagging a whopping eight stars for camp.
Following their success, Ant and Dean seemed to put their troubles behind them and share a heartwarming hug.
The host gushed: ‘Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! Dean, I’m very proud of you right now!,’ as the campmate ran over to embrace him.
He continued: ‘Well done, you got in the crate. Well done.’
It comes after Ant admitted that he was ‘unprofessional’ during Dean’s previous Bushtucker trial, after fans clocked his ‘furious’ reaction to the DJ quitting the challenge yet again
It comes after Ant admitted that he was ‘unprofessional’ during Dean’s previous Bushtucker trial, after fans clocked his ‘furious’ reaction to the DJ quitting the challenge yet again.
Viewers noticed that during Thursday’s show, Ant was ‘lowkey mad’ at Dean for ‘not trying properly’ in his first two trials and so urged the radio host to ‘try harder’.
Ant addressed his reaction during an appearance on spin-off I’m A Celebrity: Unpacked, saying: ‘My annoyance came across on screen and I was quite unprofessional. You get to the point where you’re like what are you doing?’
As Dean arrived at his third trial in three days, Ant and Dec ran through the rules of Lethal Lab, adding he will be joined by cockroaches, crickets and mealworms, giant lizards, snakes and spiders.
Ant said: ‘Now Dean, I want to have a word with you. What happened yesterday? No stars. What happened the day before? You said I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. You can only change the narrative by stick with it and getting on with it.’
During the very stern chat, Dean said to Ant: ‘I feel like I’m being told off by Ant and Dec.’
Dec chipped in: ‘I’m good cop’, while Ant added: ‘He’s [Dec] very carrot and I’m very stick.’
Dean called ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ half way through the trial after getting spooked from fish guts.
After spiders on his head, snakes around his neck, green ants in his arms and cockroaches around his head, but it all got too much for Dean when fish guts smothered the back of his neck.
Dean had two minutes to complete an experiment, which will be worth 2 stars, in the experimentation area.
He then had to make his way through seven different containment areas, where a further eight stars were up for grabs.
Dean told Ant and Dec: ‘I like to overpromise and underdeliver.’
During the first experiment, he had to combine both a green liquid and a clear liquid into the test tube together to create a chemical reaction.
He went on to joke: ‘I’m not angry anymore Dean, I’m just disappointed,’ to which the radio star replied: ‘Awk Ant!’
Halfway through the trial, he said: ‘This is not looking good boys.’
As he successfully created a chemical reaction by combining the two liquids, he won two stars for camp and moved on to the containment areas.
After winning two more stars in containment areas one and three, he then moved onto area five.
As fish guts poured into the compartment, Dean immediately shouted: ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’
Talking to viewers after the trial aired, Ant said: ‘What the b***** h***, he only gets four stars and they pamper him. It’s not good is it, he literally got four out of ten!’
Ant slammed Dean after the radio DJ failed to win any stars during his trial with GK Barry on Wednesday evening.
The duo took part in the Down In The Drumps trial as they were forced to face their fears while working together to secure meals for camp.
However the pair failed to win any stars, and Ant didn’t hold back as he vented his frustrations during the show’s spin off I’m A Celebrity Unpacked.
As host Joel Dommett began: ‘Let’s talk briefly about today’s trial,’ Ant interjected with: ‘Oh god.’
Letting his feelings be known he explained: ‘I got quite annoyed at one point because I am a bit like if you can’t do it you can’t do it, but just get on with it. Just try it, try it.
‘If it is physically impossible or you find it physically hard that’s fine but at least try. There was a lot of not trying for quite a few minutes until they started to try and then they ran out of time.’
Sam Thompson then agreed as he added: ‘What you are saying as well is you are standing screaming at nothing at this point in time, like you are just getting rained on.’
Ant agreed: ‘Yeah you are screaming at water.’
During Dean’s trial on Tuesday he exclaimed: ‘I’m a celebrity get me out of here’ after being submerged in a box of sand.
It comes after Ant admitted that he was ‘unprofessional’ on Thursday, after seeing Dean win just four stars in his third trial, before quitting
Referring to the previous trial, Sam joked: ‘It really makes me think like Dean, sand and water, what is it like when he goes to the beach? I have never seen scream so much without touching anything.’
Meanwhile the host also admitted to MailOnline: ‘A lot of people appear frustrated at Dean, well as frustrated as I was but I felt I held it together pretty well. We miss Tony Bellew, he would have smashed that trial.’
And fans caught on to Ant’s frustrations as they took to Twitter writing: ‘That last bit on ITV 2 is honest. They don’t like Dean. Ant was fuming’;
‘Ant and dec are getting so annoyed with Dean now’; ‘I get the feeling ant & dec are as bored of Dean as we are’;
‘Ant and Dec are properly getting p***** off with Dean. At least GK is making an effort…’; ‘Ant and Dec genuinely seem so done with Dean at this point’;
‘we’re all just collectively choosing dean to see how far we can push ant aren’t we?’
Meanwhile Dean’s best friend Rachel Todd defended the star as she appeared on Lorraine on Thursday morning.
She said: ‘He wants to keep the camp happy, he has got something in him so I think he’ll be ok in tonight’s trial.
‘He’s the most caring person down to earth, I’ve known him seven years and he just feels at home. He makes you feel so comfortable.’
Dean and GK were left shaking and in tears after Wednesday’s trial and as Ant and Dec counted down the seconds to go, Grace got spooked by an eel and screamed: ‘I’m done, I’m done!’
Defeated with zero stars won, GK and Dean were forced to go back to camp empty handed. With GK admitting: ‘I’m mortified to go back and tell them.’
