Hit sitcom Gavin and Stacey and a new instalment of Wallace and Gromit will lead the BBC’s Christmas schedule this year.
Yesterday the corporation confirmed it’s Christmas line-up, which will also include the comeback of Hugh Dennis sitcom Outnumbered.
There will also be a celebrity version of Gladiators and two Christmas specials of Mrs Brown’s Boys.
Gavin and Stacey returns after five years for its long-awaited finale, which has been shrouded in secrecy.
Five years ago Vanessa ‘Nessa’ Jenkins (Ruth Jones) proposed to Neil ‘Smithy’ Smith (James Corden) during a 2019 festival special.
One image has so far been released by the corporation showing the four main characters, which was reminiscent of the official photo from the first episode from 17 years ago.
In the show Mathew Horne and Joanna Page play Gavin Shipman and Stacey West respectively.
The BBC has teased that the episode will see Uncle Bryn (Rob Brydon) preparing for a trip from Wales to Essex, while Nessa will have a new business venture.
The festive film, Vengeance Most Fowl, will premiere on Christmas Day on BBC iPlayer and BBC One
