NI’s Dean McCullough shouts ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ again during latest Bushtucker Trial

Must read

Last night, the Radio 1 presenter learned he would be up for yet another trial in the ITV series as he faced the public vote against McFly star Danny Jones.

He then arrived to take on the ‘Lethal Lab’ – the jungle’s scientific research facility.

Dean started in the experimentation area, having two minutes to complete an experiment worth two stars. This was followed by seven different containment areas, where a further eight stars were up for grabs (the last containment area held two stars).

He managed to only win 4 stars during the trial

Revealing his goal of aiming for just one star, he said: “I like to overpromise and underdeliver.”

During the first experiment, he had to combine both a green liquid and a clear liquid into the test tube to create a chemical reaction.

Armed with goggles and ‘Bushtucker Trial’ safety gloves containing green ants, he already set himself up for failure by telling Ant and Dec: “This is not looking good, boys.”

However, he did successfully create the chemical reaction by combining the two liquids, meaning he earned two stars for camp and moved on to the containment areas.

But in true Bushtucker Trial style, he was not alone in the containment areas – and was joined by cockroaches, crickets, mealworms, giant lizards, snakes, and spiders.

The radio star managed to be voted yet again to take on a Bushtucker Trial

Dean won two stars for camp in containment areas one and three but was unsuccessful in areas two and four, unable to move the stars in time.

Moving on to containment area five and not wanting to know what he was being joined with, fish guts were poured into the compartment, prompting the radio host to immediately shout: “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!”

Once released, he said he “was happy” with four stars for camp and headed back to his fellow celebrities to break the news.

It wasn’t all bad for the radio star – pleased with his efforts, Coronation Street star Alan Halsall and former world champion Barry McGuigan ran him a bubble bath to enjoy, while McFly singer Danny Jones gave him a head massage as a reward for a job well done.
