The Glastonbury Festival 2025 tickets have officially sold out after 37 minutes.
Festival organisers debuted a new system for ticket buyers on Sunday (16 November), but many disappointed hopefuls branded it “horrendous” after all the tickets were whipped up after 37 minutes.
According to the Glastonbury website, fans were “randomly assigned a place in a queue” rather than having to refresh the holding page when the tickets went live.
The unlucky fans who did not bag a ticket took to social media to slam the new system, which was introduced for the first time this year and had already sparked concerns ahead of the sale.
One addressed the festival’s organiser as they posted on social media: “@emilyeavis why oh why have have you input this system. Worse than before. Punters hate it being out of their control. It’s horrendous.”
No headliners have been announced for next year’s festival – but demand is expected to be higher than ever as Glastonbury, which is set for between Wednesday 25 June to Sunday 29 June, will be taking a year off in 2026.
It’s official
This is giving strong “lights up at the end of the night” energy.

Over half of the tickets have sold out
A nice little encouraging update from Glastonbur organisers appeared on the waiting page at 9.24am.
“Over half the tickets for Glastonbury 2025 have now been sold.”

Who is rumoured to play at Glastonbury 2025?
Although no headliners have been announced and Oasis have ruled themselves out there are still plenty of huge acts that could still play the festival next summer.
The bookmakers Oddschecker have named pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo as one of the firm favourites for next year’s festival along with The 1975, Fred Again, Sam Fender, Sabrina Carpenter, Green Day, Rihanna and Harry Styles.
Eminem is also being hotly tipped for an appearance – and Taylo Swift has suddenly entered the mix as a potential headliner.

PSA for Glasto hopefuls
It’s not over until the SOLD OUT sign appears on the Glastonbury website. So don’t freak out if you see a message notifying fans that “all available tickets have now been allocated”. That means the orders are being processed, but at least a few people end up running out of time… meaning the tickets are up for grabs again.

Don’t forget the postcode!
If you’re trying for Glastonbury tickets this morning (you probably wouldn’t be reading this if you’re not), don’t forget you need to input a registration number – and a postcode.
If there are any changes to address you need to make, you can do so after the ticket sale closes.

Don’t hit refresh!
We must say, this new ticketing queue system is a lot less stressful without having to hit the “refresh” button.
Not that we really ever had to, but we all did it anyway.

Glastonbury ticket updates
As ever, the official Glastobury X/Twitter page will inform you of any updates regarding whether the tickets are close to selling out.
Now news is very much good news…

The new system will throw you a page looking a lot like this – the less number of bars you see, the better.
How long you’ll see these bars for remains to be seen, but on Thursday, when coach tickets went on sale, people were claiming they had around four bars for the full 30 minutes before they sold out.
