Rylan breaks silence on Rob Rinder ‘romance’ admitting they are ‘like a couple’

Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder have become firm friends since filming their BBC travel series, Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour, and their closeness has prompted some to speculate whether there is any romance between them.

While the duo insisted that they are just close friends, Rylan admitted that they are “like a married couple”.

Appearing on the Table Manners podcast with hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware, Rylan said: “I find it funny because I adore him, but we are like a married couple; we row all the time and we don’t have sex.”

Rylan explained that they started out as friends after meeting at events through their shared management. They were then approached to do Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour and their bond has only grown from there.

Sharing what he adores most about his pal, Rylan continued: “There are two amazing things about Rob. One is he’s the kindest, most genuine, will kill for you if someone looks at you bad – he’s that type of friend.

“Two, he’s a walking pharmacy. His bag is like a small branch of Boots… I had a toothache in Italy and it was gone in two days!”

Rylan and Rob sparked questions about their relationship status when they appeared together on the BAFTA TV Awards red carpet last week.

Fans also commented on their chemistry after the first episode of their series aired on BBC Two.

One viewer gushed: “I could listen to them both all day…it is a good watch,” while another said: “They really complement each other, each brings his own insight to the table and are open to learning from it. Just lovely to see.”

The speculation was so heightened that Rylan issued a response on social media to put the discussion to bed.

He tweeted: “The answer is no. I’m not dating Rob Rinder, he’s one of my closest friends. Next time, tweet me.”

However, Rylan has revealed that they shared a close moment while touring Italy for their new show.

Appearing on This Morning last week, host Ben Shephard probed them about their escapades, and Rylan disclosed: “In Venice, we were in separate accommodations. In Florence we were in the same accommodation but in different rooms and by Rome, I’m waking up with him underneath me, and I was like, ‘Get off of me Barrister’.”

Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour airs Sundays at 9pm on BBC Two.
