“Essentials for travellers,” mentioned another. “I took a skiing trip to France recently and I’m going to Japan and South Korea in January so I wanted to get an adapter that was suitable for multiple countries and so I decided on this item which has been perfect so far. The sturdiness and weight of the adapter is great for an item this price and it also fits in my bag without taking up any real space which was important for me. I’d recommend this item to any other travellers that need a universal adapter.”

However, one less than impressed shopper gave the Universal Travel Adapter a negative review because ‘it didn’t work’. They wrote: “Thought this would be an easy solution instead of having to buy different adapters but when I took it on holiday with me it didn’t work. I was so disappointed as I had to search for an adapter when out.”

But another gave the the gadget a glowing five stars, adding: “I bought this charger for my husband who travels frequently for official work to Australia and USA. He says this is perfect charger with USB ports in all in one item. Also charges fast, very good quality and easy to switch between different plug modes. He has just one plug to carry now. Highly recommended.”

Alternatively, Boots has a variety of travel plugs available. The Boots UK to Europe Adaptor costs £5.50 the Go Travel World-UK Adaptor Duo + USB is more expensive at £20.
