US stocks are open now and are marginally higher, again bucking the trend of declines across Europe and the UK. The S&P 500 is up 0.2%, taking its gain for the week to 4.5%.
In the FTSE All-Share, Wood Group shares are up 16% as they recover some ground after a 60% plummet yesterday. Ukraine-based iron ore pellets firm Ferrexpo is up 15% amid a tumultuous week for its shares. IAG is still up 7.5% and fellow airline Wizz Air is 9% higher.
On the downside, Vistry is still off 18%, while Serco and Greggs are sliding too. Halfords has extended its fall too, now down 12%.
Gilt yields are still falling across the curve and the pound remains weaker against the dollar.
