What Mikel Arteta said to the crowd at full-time

Must read

After our 2-1 win against Everton came to a close, Mikel Arteta and his players remained on the pitch to soak up the adulation from the home supporters, and speak to them directly.

After Martin Odegaard gave his address, Mikel took the mic and had a few words for those Gooners who had once again roared us onto victory, and urged them to do the same next season as we continue our journey and progression under his leadership.

“All this is happening because you started believing,” Mikel said. “You started to be patient, you started to understand what we were trying to do and all the credit has to go to these amazing players, and the staff that are unbelievable.

“I think now it’s time to have a break, think, reflect and please, keep pushing, keep inspiring this team. Don’t be satisfied because we want much more than that, and we’e going to get it. Thank you so much.”
