Inspired by the original branded Coca-Cola truck that will tour the UK in the next few months, Lidl’s knock-off Freeway Cola Truck will also bring some festive cheer to shoppers across the country.
“Holidays are coming in under budget as Lidl’s Christmas Freeway truck will be touring Great Britain for the first time ever! Join us to spread some festive magic from the 14 November until the 1 December. There will be free gifts from the Middle of Lidl, food tasting and more!” the Lidl website says.
What else will the Lidl Freeway Cola Christmas truck offer?
According to Lidl bosses, the Freeway Truck will also give away 2,000 gifts to people around the country, including many middle-aisle freebies.
But you need to get there quickly, as this will only be available for the first 250 people attending each session.
In an added Christmas boost, one in 10 gift boxes will also include a “golden ticket” worth £100, which shoppers can redeem through the Lidl app to buy some in-store products.
Throughout the event, guests can also sample delicious Christmas food available at Lidl stores, including panettone and alcohol-free mulled wine.
Lidl is also encouraging shoppers to enter the Magical Wish-mas Booth for a chance to win extra goodies from in-store.
Track the Freeway Truck’s festive journey
Lidl
The original Coca-Cola truck, branded in classic red and white colours, has become synonymous with the start of the festive season.
Alongside its “holidays are coming” theme tune and advert, the fizzy drinks giant’s classic lorry travels the length of the nation offering festive joy and photograph opportunities.
Lidl’s Freeway Truck looks pretty similar, but is instead branded with the discount supermarket’s own cola logo.
