Our Take on Mutiny
Gritty and Gripping
Jason Statham is a consistent hit-maker, and the casting of The Conjuring prequel Annabelle Wallis adds more intrigue to the film. So far, it’s unclear if Wallis will play an ally or a foe in Cole Reed’s journey to clear his name. Statham being one of the producers also suggests that he’ll take an active role in the creative approach of his character and the overall storytelling. It’s very exciting to see what he’ll do with the classic premise that already teases high stakes, danger, and plenty of action.
The first-look image also catches Statham’s titular character in a situation of distress. The tension is immediate, even though a trailer isn’t here yet. Reed seems to be in hiding with the gun, but he could also be in a position of defense or attack. One thing that seems certain is that Mutiny will be gritty and gripping.
