M&S Foods has unveiled its 2024 Christmas TV ad campaign, featuring the beloved comedian Dawn French in a dual role.

French returns as the voice of the iconic M&S Fairy whilst also making her on-screen debut as herself. The campaign, set to Elton John’s festive classic “Step into Christmas”, blends of humour and charm.


Launching on November 4, the six-part series showcases M&S’s Christmas food offerings, with French and her Fairy alter-ego sharing the screen for the first time.

The campaign highlights M&S’s Christmas food range, featuring mouth-watering visuals of festive favourites. Viewers can expect to see the retailer’s “100% foolproof Our Best Ever Slow-cooked Turkey” and “Collection Cornish Cruncher Cauliflower Cheese”.

For those with a sweet tooth, the “Frozen Collection Raspberry & Pistachio Roulade” and “Our Best Ever Yule Log” are showcased.

The ads also spotlight a festive selection like the “Santa’s Workshop Musical Light-Up Tin” filled with all-butter cookie stars, and the “Collection Nocciolato Panettone”, described as a true centrepiece for festive celebrations.

The campaign’s festive magic reaches new heights with a surprise appearance by world-renowned classical singer Katherine Jenkins.

Set to air on December 17, Jenkins will perform alongside a joyful choir, adding a moving and memorable touch to the series.

Importantly, customers will have numerous opportunities to engage with the iconic M&S Fairy, adding an extra sprinkle of enchantment to their festive celebrations.
