An axis rampage in France has left at least six people injured, with one victim reportedly losing their hand and another having their skull split open.
French police stormed Ozoir-la-Ferriere train station at about 8am this morning after reports of the attack.
Police belive multiple attacker are still on the run.
A group of about ten individuals, described as young and armed with bladed weapons, attacked others on the train, police sources told French broadcaster Actu17.
One unverified clip shared on social media appears to show the aftermath of the chaos, with blood on the flood and one victim pressing a dressing room to his head.
Train operators RER, posting on X, said: “An incident on board the TUVA train currently at the platform at Ozoir station is forcing us to keep the train at the platform.
“Waiting for police intervention.”
French MEP Gilbert Collard, also posting on X, said: “A fight on a train at Ozoir la Ferriere station where axes were allegedly used.
“Two seriously injured, one has a severed hand, the other is hit in the head.
“It’s becoming increasingly crazy and dangerous to survive in France!”
The victims are “extremely young individuals”, a spokesperson for Ile-de-France police union UN1TE told broadcaster BFMTV.
Sharing a link to a story about the brawl, French police union the Union of Internal Security Executives (SCSI) commented: “Always this famous feeling of insecurity…”
Ozoir-la-Ferriere is a town roughly 15 miles south-east of Paris.
