Friends star Lisa Kudrow has paid tribute to co-star Teri Garr following her death.
The Oscar-nominated actor, who also appeared in the likes of Tootsie and Young Frankenstein, has passed away aged 79 after a battle with multiple sclerosis (MS).
Garr played the on-screen mother of Kudrow’s character Phoebe Buffay in Friends, appearing in three episodes across seasons 3 and 4.

Sharing a tribute to the late star, Kudrow told People: “Teri Garr was a comedic acting genius who was and is a huge influence on me and I know I’m not alone in that. I feel so lucky and grateful I got to work with Teri Garr.”
The actor’s death was announced by her publicist yesterday (October 29), who confirmed that Garr was “surrounded by family and friends”.
Across her career, she also starred in The Conversation, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Dumb and Dumber and Ghost World.
Garr was diagnosed with MS in 1999, and revealed the diagnosis publicly three years later.

In other news, Friends stars Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston have shared tributes to Matthew Perry one year after his death.
Sharing a photo of herself and Perry smiling at each other, as well as a cast shot, Cox wrote on Instagram: “Missing you today and always.”
Aniston shared a series of photos on her own page, writing: “1 year.”
The actor passed away last October aged 54, with his death ruled an “accident” caused by the “acute effects of ketamine” in an autopsy report.
