Oasis have just announced that Liverpool rock band Cast will open all shows on their 2025 UK and Ireland tour. Having set aside their differences, Liam and Noel Gallagher will embark on their world tour next year, with gigs scheduled for London, Manchester, Dublin, Cardiff and Edinburgh on the UK & Ireland leg.

The band has taken to X to confirm that Cast will begin their domestic dates, which had previously been reported by The Independent. Oasis said: “Just announced @castofficial are confirmed as the opening band for all UK and Ireland Oasis Live ‘25 shows!”

‌

Cast formed in Liverpool in 1992 after John Power left The La’s and Peter Wilkinson’s band Shack had split. The band’s debut album ‘All Change’ and second album ‘Mother Nature Calls’ are certified Platinum in the United Kingdom, having peaked at 7 and 3 in the charts respectively.

The band split in 2001 but reunited in 2010. Now a trio of John Power, Liam Tyson and Keith O’Neill, they released their seventh album ‘Love is the Call’ this year. Noel Gallagher is a fan of Cast and has described watching them live as being like a “religious experience”.

‌

Cast’s hit singles include ‘Alright’, ‘Sandstorm’, ‘Walkaway’ and ‘Flying’. The band earlier this year supported Liam Gallagher as he toured Oasis’ debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ to mark its 30th anniversary.

Oasis’ reunion tour will begin at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4 2025. Gigs in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, Dublin, Toronto, Chicago, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Melbourne and Sydney will follow. All dates announced (other than a recently confirmed extra date in Melbourne) are sold out.
