Strictly fan-favourite Amy Dowden has been rushed to hospital after collapsing backstage after last night’s main show.
The 34-year-old Welsh dancer, who hails from Caerphilly, was attended by paramedics at Elstree Studios and taken away in an ambulance.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called just after 9pm on Saturday to attend a medical emergency at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.
“An ambulance was sent to the scene. One patient, an adult female, was transported to Barnet Hospital for further care.”

Dowden, who suffers from Crohns disease, returned to Elstree Studios for this series after taking a break while battling breast cancer.
It is understood Dowden’s dance partner JB Gill was seen taking part in the results show.
A statement from Amy’s spokesperson reads: “Amy was feeling unwell and so an ambulance was called as a precaution.
“She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
“We request Amy’s privacy in matters of health is kindly respected.”
Dowden was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in May 2023, meaning she could not fully participate in last year’s show.
The 34-year-old’s cancer was described as in remission last month.
Dowden’s remission came after doctors raised concerns about abnormalities in her breast following a check-up.

She has also publicly discussed the pains of suffering from Crohns disease.
Despite a strong start to this year’s Strictly series, Gill and Dowden ended up in the dance-off last week.
The pair performed a jive to OutKast’s Hey Ya!, with ex-Arsenal striker Paul Merson and American dance partner Karen Hauer being eliminated.
However, Gill fired back against his critics, claiming: “Even the best professionals have little blips and things – a mistake, whatever it is. Those things are part of the performance.”
