The King will resume a “full programme” of overseas travel next year, and says he “hopes to survive long enough” to return to Samoa, in a sign that he is determined to fulfil his role despite living with cancer.
Charles, 75, who paused his treatment during his visit to Australia and Samoa last week, will restart his traditional diary of spring and autumn foreign tours in the new year, with aides saying he has “thrived” by working throughout his illness.
