Production of Morgan’s flagship Plus Six is scheduled to conclude in early 2025, and the British manufacturer is marking the occasion with 30 special-edition run-out models.
Named the Plus Six Pinnacle, this limited run of 30 cars marks the end of both the model’s production and the era of high-powered, classic-shaped Morgan sports cars – a lineage that began nearly 60 years ago with the Plus 8. A new flagship model is set to debut in 2025.
Powered by a BMW-sourced 335bhp 3.0-litre straight-six, the Plus Six debuted in 2019. Morgan has hand-built more than 1000 examples of the high-performance model since then. Significantly, it was the first model to use the company’s CX-generation aluminium-bonded chassis, and also holds the distinction of being the first turbocharged Morgan.

Customers will be able to select from three interior colourways – Fawn, Explore and Riviera – that were developed in partnership with renowned British automotive upholsterer Bridge of Weir. Fawn is a light camel tan, Riviera is a soft aquatic blue, and Explore is a dark brown with pebble-grain texture.The exterior, meanwhile, can be painted in any colour of the customer’s choosing.
The Plus Six Pinnacle’s leather upholstery is complemented by luxurious sheepskin carpets in the footwells and rear stowage area. The deep-pile carpets are colour-matched to the leather, and are designed to create a textural contrast against the smooth English hide.
Artisans working in Morgan’s trim shop have developed unique stitching available in a variety of pleats and quilts, which will be stitched by hand in each of the 30 examples. The stitching pattern runs vertically up the seat back, before converging and crossing to the embroidered Pinnacle motif above. This stitchwork also decorates the door cards.
Teak woodwork made its Morgan debut on the bespoke Pininfarina-designed Midsummer, which was revealed at Villa d’Este earlier this year. Thus the Pinnacle Plus Six is the second Morgan to feature teak, which is found as a veneer on the centre column while solid teak embellishes the lower dashboard rail. The centre-column veneer’s finishing touch takes inspiration from Japanese artistry, and features a Pinnacle logo inlaid in aluminium.
Each Plus Six Pinnacle will receive a satin-silver finish to the alloy wheels, stone guard and dashboard. Morgan says the colour was selected to suggest Champagne and victory, yet softened and made neutral to ensure it complements the exterior paintwork. Another unique styling feature is the Le Mans-style flip-up fuel cap, which is presented in a polished finish. This finish is matched by that on the mirrors and steering-wheel centre.
“Plus Six Pinnacle commemorates the end of the line for one of our most beloved models,” said chief design officer Jonathan Wells. “[It] represents a truly befitting conclusion to the Plus Six story, and the team and I have greatly enjoyed crafting this special edition to celebrate everything this model stands for.”
