Halo Flashpoint, a new tabletop game based on the flagship Xbox franchise, finally has a concrete release date across numerous regions. Shaping up to be developer Mantic Games’ biggest tabletop launch in its 15-year history, the new board game releases just next month.
Halo Flashpoint street dates confirmed
In a press release from Mantic Games, the Halo Flashpoint release dates for physical stores were confirmed. As the most requested piece of information for the upcoming board game, fans now know when the game will be playable in their region.
In the United States, the new Halo game releases on Saturday, November 16, 2024. However, the United Kingdom, Mainland Europe and Australia all receive the game slightly later on Saturday, November 30th, 2024.
“With ships heading into (or already arrived at) port we can now say with confidence when the game will hit shelves,” Mantic Games explained.
Following the announcement of the tabletop game’s new release date, Mantic Games has announced a new behind the scenes look at the game on YouTube. Premiering on October 23rd, 2024, fans of the game can find the video right here.
Spread the word
Despite being based on one of the biggest video game franchises of all time, Halo: Flashpoint has mostly gone under the radar since its reveal. In the release date announcement, developer Mantic Games has urged fans of tabletop games to spread the word of its release to other gamers.
“We would LOVE your help in sharing this information with the wider gaming community, and a very big thank you to everyone who’s been running preview content about Halo Flashpoint already,” the developer said. “It’s shaping up to be the biggest game launch in our 15 year history, and we’re absolutely thrilled to be getting tabletop Halo into the hands of players everywhere very soon!”
While not the first tabletop game based on Xbox’s killer IP, Flashpoint is already setting up to be a fantastic board game based on the franchise. It may not be as instantly cool as the long-discontinued Halo: Fleet Battles, but it’s shaping up to be a fantastic adaptation of Spartan vs Covenant combat.
