On Saturday’s episode of , viewers were treated to an extraordinary magic trick by couple Jay and Joss, who took the audience on a journey into the future.
The magic and illusionist duo performed a wedding-themed routine that left judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli completely astounded, reports the Mirror.
Jay and Joss began their audition by sharing the story of how they met at the world’s largest magic convention, followed by a touching clip from their 2019 engagement and subsequent wedding four years later.
However, they confessed that they had yet to go on their honeymoon.
In a twist, the couple asked the judges for assistance with a balloon.
Each judge was tasked with providing a date, month and year for their future honeymoon.
Simon chose the 7th, Amanda selected August, and Alesha opted for 2025.
Bruno then shook the balloon, which popped to reveal a note with the date 07/08/2025.
Alesha was next asked to estimate the cost of the trip, humorously suggesting Simon would fund it, as she proposed £7,700.50.
Amanda was asked to choose a hotel room number and went with 127, while Simon was tasked with selecting a celebrity friend to entertain them, choosing Nicole Scherzinger.
Finally, Simon was responsible for picking a destination from a series of tags with strings, and he selected Blackpool.
Jay and Joss then claimed the judges’ choices were “completely random” and they couldn’t have known before the audition.
However, the duo then hinted that they could leap forward in time to the exact date, year and location in a split second.
They both snapped their fingers, triggering a video on stage of their future honeymoon.
The camera focused on a newspaper displaying the date 7 August 2025, they then revealed a piece of paper with £7,700.50 written on it, followed by a mention of a room number before 127 appeared in their coffee.
The pair then ventured outside to Blackpool as public transport featuring Nicole Scherzinger on the side drove past.
Both the judges and audience were left gobsmacked, declaring it was “impossible”.
During feedback, where the duo received four yeses, Judge Simon insisted: “I swear none of it was planned in advance, it’s just blown my mind!”
Twitter users, now X, were quick to theorise how the trick was executed.
One person commented: “Isn’t video editing magic #bgt #britainsgottalent’, another user posted: “The third member of this act is the chap on the video editor #bgt”, someone else wrote: “Since when was AI considered magic? #britainsgottalent #BGT” while another added: “Anything with video, external content can all be altered by a team off camera. Nah. #BGT.”
However, other viewers were left astounded by the performance, with one person exclaiming: “My mind is blown. HOW do they do that! ! ! I have literal goosebumps #BGT”, another tweeted: “Those magicians were incredible! #bgt” and a different viewer suggested: “Golden buzzer time! #BGT.”
