Four teenage Israeli soldiers killed in Hezbollah drone attack

Four teenage soldiers were killed in Hezbollah’s drone strike on a military base in northern Israel on Sunday night.

Initial reports suggested that Israel’s army chief, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, had been the target of the attack on the Golani Brigade training base, close to Haifa. Almost 60 soldiers were injured in the strike. The Golani Brigade is an Israeli division taking part in the invasion of Lebanon.

Halevi addressed soldiers at the base on Monday, saying: “We are at war, and an attack on a training base on the home front is difficult and the results are painful.”

The four soldiers who died were all aged 19. They were named as sergeants Omri Tamari, Yosef Hieb, Yoav Agmon and Alon Amitay. Medical officials said
