A 26-year-old British social media influencer has died after falling from a bridge in Spain.
The Englishman, who has not been named by the Spanish authorities, fell from around 50 metres while climbing the Castilla-La Mancha bridge in Talavera de la Reina, which is south west of Madrid, on Sunday morning.
The local councillor for citizen security, Macarena Muñoz, confirmed the death and said the man was accompanied by another Englishman, 24.
The pair had “come to Talavera to climb the bridge and create content for social networks, which has resulted in this unfortunate and sad outcome”, she said in a statement.
The bridge, built in 2011, is 192 metres tall

Climbing the bridge is “totally prohibited” and that has been reiterated “on many occasions”, she added.
