Tommy Fury bluntly refuses to speak on Molly-Mae ‘cheating’ accusations during first TV appearance

Must read

Tommy Fury was probed on his recent split with Molly-Mae Hague and refused to talk about their current situation amid reports the couple are “rekindling” their romance.

Fury and Hague won the 2019 season of Love Island and became one of the biggest couples to come out of the show.

The pair got engaged last year not long after welcoming their first child – daughter Bambi – with fans of the couple being thrilled with the news.

However, Hague posted on her Instagram in August that “never in a million years” did she think their relationship would come to an end – “especially not this way”.

Fury shortly posted his own statement on their split and asked for privacy from everyone as they “navigate” their way through their new co-parenting roles.

Days after their split, the former couple were plagued with cheating allegations – something which Fury has denied and went on to threaten legal action over the “false allegations”.

Whilst both parties have returned to social media and continued on with their lives – Fury training for a fight and Hague releasing her new brand Maebe – neither have spoken on the split since.

Fury joined This Morning hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley to discuss the release of his new book – Lightening Can Strike Twice: My Life As A Fury – and was probed on their split.

When asked how he was feeling, Fury admitted: “Feeling good, it doesn’t take a genius to work out that it’s been very hard at times.

“But at the end of the day I’ve just been knuckling down into my training, taking my daughter to ballet and swimming and messy play. Keeping myself busy and the book, I am very excited to launch that today.”

Shephard probed further and attempted to discuss the cheating allegations and said: “How have you dealt with that criticism because there was a lot of critics when Molly-Mae put her statement out about the relationship and about the fact that the relationship had ended, they immediately jumped to the conclusion that you had done something wrong.

However, Fury shut down his line of questioning and explained: “There are a lot of critics out there and there will be critics out there till the day I die.

“Everyone will point the finger when there is a bandwagon to jump on. But at the end of the day, out of respect to Molly and respect to myself and our relationship and to us, I am going to let us deal with that in private as much as we can.

“I am just happy to be here today to talk about my book and I want to leave all that stuff to me and Molly, we owe respect to ourselves to do that.”

Not wanting to let the point go, Shephard pushed once again: “But you did add an extra chapter didn’t you and there is one accusation that is that in some way you cheated on her. You categorically deny it.”

“I am going to leave all that stuff for me and Molly to work through because a lot of stuff has been put out there.

“The whole world has seen what we have been going through over the last two months or however long it’s been… I added a last chapter in there.

“I felt freely in the book to speak and update everybody about how I have been feeling. In there I have talked about my feelings for the last two months and it has been tough but you can read about it all in there.”

When asked if he wanted to get back together with Hague and rebuild their family, Fury simply said: “Me, Molly and Bambi are a family, we are a family unit and we are going to tackle this in private. Like I say it is my family and I will love them until the day I die.”
