Strictly Come Dancing spoilers follow.

Strictly Come Dancing has announced an all-new theme week as part of the show’s 20th anniversary celebration.

Janette Manrara shared the exciting news on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two on Wednesday that the main show’s new theme, Icons Week, will be held on Saturday, November 2.

This special show will feature the Strictly celebrities and their professional dancers paying tribute to some of their musical heroes.

Some Strictly stars may choose to mimic the musical icon of their choice, while others may reference their iconic choreography in their routines.

The culmination of the first-ever Icons Week will involve the Strictly pros performing a Beyoncé medley during the results show on November 3 — with Johannes Radebe taking on a central role in this very special routine.

Icons Week is set to join the recurring theme weeks for Strictly Come Dancing going forward, along with the Movies, Blackpool and Musicals weeks.

The musical icons being honoured — as well as the song and dance choices — will be unveiled by the BBC One dance show in due course.

This Saturday’s live show doesn’t have a theme announced but it will feature the celebrities and their pro partners dancing to classic songs from Men At Work, ABBA, Shakira and Anne-Marie, among others.

Sunday’s results show will feature a live performance from rockers Snow Patrol as well the professionals performing a group routine set to the music of Taylor Swift. Unfortunately, another couple will have to leave the ballroom by the end of the show.

Last week, Toyah Willcox and her partner Neil Jones were voted off Strictly after falling into Bottom Two against Paul Merson and professional Karen Hauer.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
