The Israeli army has released unseen footage of last year’s Oct 7 attacks.
Hamas killed 1,200 people when it assaulted southern Israel and took about 250 as hostages, according to Israeli tallies.
The video showed Israeli soldiers and border police forces operating in kibbutz Re’im, near which 364 people were killed at a music festival, according to Israeli police.
Previously unseen footage also showed the aftermath of an attack on a police station in Sderot, which was taken over by Hamas militants. Israeli forces used gunfire and bulldozers to retake the station.
Israel’s subsequent military assault on Gaza has killed nearly 42,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza’s health ministry. It has also displaced nearly all of the enclave’s 2.3 million people, caused a hunger crisis, and led to genocide allegations at the World Court that Israel denies.
