Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones says he is “excited” about playing in front of big crowds next year

Stereophonics have announced their biggest-ever stadium tour, performing in seven towns and cities next summer.

Stadium Anthems will see the royals of Welsh rock come home with a final show in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

Formed in Cwmaman, Rhondda Cynon Taf, in 1992, they are the most successful Welsh band of their generation with eight UK number one albums.

Frontman Kelly Jones said he was “excited” by the prospect of playing in front of big crowds again next June and July.

It will be the band’s first arena tour since 2022, when they played two nights in the Principality Stadium alongside Sir Tom Jones.

Other shows include Belfast, Dublin, Cork, Huddersfield, Glasgow and London, with special guests still to be announced.

Stereophonics will also headline the Isle of Wight festival in 2025.

Kelly Jones says the band has a new album coming next year

Jones said: “Playing all the hits of this bands catalogue for people in huge outdoor gatherings through the summer of 2025 makes me so excited.

“We should make a new album…oh wait …we already did that,” he added, referring to the band’s 13th studio album, which is set for release in 2025.

Tickets go on sale from 09:00 BST on 11 October.
