THE line-up of the new series of Big Brother has been officially revealed.
AJ Odudu and Will Best were on hand to welcome a new set of housemates for the second instalment of the reality show to air on ITV.
Pictures of the newly redecorated abode were revealed before the weekend as bosses geared up for the new series.
We previously revealed that execs have already lined up a secret twist as part of a new bombshell task.
For the next six weeks, who will call the ITV2 house their new home?
Rosie
Dental assistant Rosie applied for Big Brother because she said it was something that she “always wanted to do.”
Before entering the iconic reality show, the 29-year-old admitted that she wants to be the one to lift the house during heated moments.
“I think I’m going to bring positive energy. I am a good listener and I can be there to support people – I’m a supportive person.
“I’m quite an enthusiastic person so if people are feeling a bit low, I can get them back on track.”
Emma
At the age of 53-years-old, Emma could be the oldest housemate of the group.
The Aesthetics Business owner from Essex admitted that some people think she has an ‘abrupt’ side to her.
“If somebody doesn’t get my humour then they might think ‘she’s really abrupt and to the point and says it how it is’ but that’s my
humour.” Emma remarked.
“I’m still going to be me in there but sometimes I may come across as abrupt or say ‘get over yourself.”
Segun
The 25-year-old Charity Videographer comes from Watford.
He thinks that he might become the house clown with his “comedic energy.”
“I’ll bring energy, comedic energy, vitality and a lot of entertainment and being uplifting,” Segun said.
Nathan
24-year-old Nathan is only young, but he’s already had a lot of life experience.
The Pork Salesman from Dumfries revealed a surprise connection to the Royal Family.
“I was Prince [King] Charles’ butler. I think that’s one thing that will definitely surprise people,” he remarked.
On the launch show, he admitted that he admires politician and former I’m A Celebrity star, Nigel Farage.
Daze
Daze is a Climate Activist from London.
The 24-year-old admitted that she loves to eat, and she warned that there might be a problem if she gets hungry.
“I like food a lot. I know that can sometimes be a contentious thing in the house. So I’m going to try to not eat too much.”
Khaled
Big Brother built up a reputation over the years for attracting contestants who just wanted to be famous.
But this is not the case for the 23-year-old Sales Manager from Manchester.
“I didn’t actually know what Big Brother was,” Khaled admitted.
“I thought it was a show about being a carer – because I worked at a kids’ camp.”
Martha
26-year-old Martha currently works as an NHS Administrator in Scarborough.
The Margate native thinks that she could be the perfect housemate for the new series.
“I’ve always been a little in your face and a bit dramatic,” she admitted.
“I don’t take things too seriously. Life is serious enough. I think it’s important to enjoy the good moments and funny moments in life
and take it all with a pinch of salt.”
Lily
Lily works as a Chinese Takeaway Server in Warrington and has a pretty ‘savage’ reason for wanting to go on Big Brother.
“I originally applied because it was my ex’s favourite TV show because we broke up.
“I thought ‘I’m going to go on his favourite TV show’. I’d never heard of it.”
Ali
The 38-year-old Forensic Psychologist wants her follow housemates to come to her with her problems.
“I will bring humour, friendship – I’m quite understanding and caring. I would also be someone that people confide in and come to for advice,” she admitted.
“I’m really intrigued about who else might be in the house – I’m so nosy.”
She moved to London all the way from Leicester in the East Midlands, but she fears her opinions might land her in hot water.
“I think I will say my opinion out of turn, and it will rub someone up the wrong way,” Ali remarked.
Thomas
20-year-old Thomas comes from Carlisle and is an Amputee Footballer.
Before he entered the house, Thomas opened up about one of his pet-hates.
“I describe myself as a very energetic, always lively person – I hate silence!
I feel like I’m very good at communicating with people … people are going to see me as that giddy, young person.”
Ryan
The northerner comes from Blackpool but currently lives in Stockport.
He works in Marketing and Events, and as a life-long fan of the show, he wants to “shake up” the house.
“I feel like over the recent years, it’s gone a bit tame and people are in there for other motives,” he confessed.
“I think having someone normal like me in there will shake it up.”
Hannah
The 24-year-old West London resident wants to bring some fan back to the house.
“I’m a fun, childish person who loves to laugh and banter around,” the HR Consultant remarked.
“I’m going to bring pure vibes – a West London babes in her element. Having a good fun time with the housemates while staying true to myself.”
Izaaz
29-year-old Izaaz currently lives in London but he is originally from Swansea.
Before he entered the house, the sales consultant warned that he is not afraid to tell fellow housemates the truth.
The estate agent admitted: “I might be a bit straightforward, I say it is as it is.”
“For example, if someone isn’t doing something then I’ll tell that person instead of beating around the bush.”
Sarah
The 27-year-old from Shrewsbury admitted that she wants to make lifelong friendships in the house.
She admitted: “I know from having worked on cruise ships that when you’re with people in an enclosed environment you make the strongest bonds.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting people I would never normally meet living in the country.”
Marcello
34-year-old Marcello has a new-found love for life, and he wants people to know it.
He works as a Youth Mentor in East London and said he wants to challenge himself in the house.
“I applied to test myself and see where I could take my new found confidence and the love I have for the world,” he admitted.
Dean
35-year-old Dean has been a long-time fan of the show since he was a young child.
“I’ve wanted to do it from the age of 11 and never had the confidence to do it.
“As I got older, I was still obsessed with the show and as soon
as it came back it was ‘this is my time to apply’’.”
