Eminem‘s daughter Hailie Jade revealed how she hid her pregnancy until her father announced the exciting news.
The 28-year-old daughter said her best friend, Brittany Ednie, helped her keep her pregnancy a secret until she was ready to unveil the announcement alongside her dad.
On Friday’s episode of her and her best friend’s Just A Little Shady podcast, the mom-to-be — who tied the knot with her husband Evan McClintock in May — said Ednie ‘covered for’ her at a wedding they attended ‘a couple of weeks ago.’
Her revelation comes one day after Eminem, 51, shared that he is getting ready to become a grandpa.
The day before, they were seen in Eminem’s new music video for his song Temporary, and Hailie could be seen handing her dad a Detroit Lions jersey with ‘grandpa’ written across the back.

Her revelation comes one day after Eminem, 51, shared that he is getting ready to become a grandpa
‘I need to also defend myself now that this is public knowledge, that you are pregnant, because at said wedding, people did not know that she was pregnant,’ Ednie said after Hailie called her out for being a bit tipsy at the nuptials.
She explained that she had been secretly drinking all of Hailie’s alcoholic beverages so that their friends did not raise any suspicions.
‘So she was, you know, grabbing a drink, not consuming the drink as a responsible parent does,’ she said.
‘Whenever people were turned around, she would hand me her drink, and I would chug so it looked as if she was continuously drinking throughout the night.’
Hailie said she was ‘taking one for the team’ by drinking for her too even though she never asked her to.
‘I’ll defend myself though, because I never really asked you to do it,’ she said. ‘It was like an unspoken thing with our eyes.’
And up until that point, Hailie said that her husband was sipping her drinks at social events.
At the wedding, she said that he was ‘not nearby’ as they were talking to different people.

Hailie also said that she was drinking a lavender lemonade cocktail, which her husband did not want to drink, but Ednie volunteered.
‘Evan was like, “I don’t want that.” But you were like, “Oh, I’ll take some drinks of it”,’ Hailie recalled to Ednie. ‘So I feel like you kinda volunteered yourself for that one.’
However, the best friends said they no longer have to pretend anymore since the jig is up and Eminem helped his daughter, the mom-to-be, reveal her big news.
